Technical Support Issues

Q: I have just registered for online remediation. My username and password does not work and I do not have access to the online material, what should I do?

A: Activation will require about 10 minutes. You should receive an email that will contain your username and password and have instructions with a link address to the student login on the Total Testing™ web site. Click on the link and enter your user name and password. You will initially be provided access to Audio Remediation files and the Enhancer Questions. If you still are having trouble with logging, please proceed to the User Name/Password Help to receive your password via email.

Q: Some of the features in the SmarTTrack system do not seem to function properly?

A: The SmarTTrack system requires that you have certain features installed in order to function properly. Please visit the requirements page to test your computer. This will generate a report specifying what is current on your system and what is missing. If a component is missing, please follow the instructions provided in regards to installing that feature on your computer.

Q: When I try to login it will not let me login...

A: Make sure that you verify your login (Username and Password). Check to make sure that caps lock is not on.

Q: I have verified my login (Username and Password) but I still can not login to the site...

A: Please proceed to the User Name/Password Help to receive your password via email. You will be required to have your login name and email address that you entered upon registration. Please check the User Name/Password Help to obtain your username. You will be required to enter your email that was used during registration. If you still are having trouble, please contact an appropriate faculty member at your school. Your instructor will have the ability to verify your login information and can help you with your username and password. If your instructor is unavailable, please call or contact our Web and Software Support Staff during business hours.

Q: My faculty member told me to take a test but it is not there...

A: Call your school and make sure that they have provided the appropriate access to the test. ERI will not be able to assign tests without approval from your school or instructor. You may get this problem resolved quicker by contacting the school first.

Q: I just registered -- what should I do now...

A: Activation will require about 10 minutes. Click on the link and enter your user name in the appropriate place in the upper, right corner. You will initiallly be provided access to Audio Coaching Materials and Practice Tests.

Q: What computer hardware and software do I need to be able to listen to the audio files?

A: You will need to have Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, speakers, and an Internet Connection to play the files. If you have a dialup connection to the internet please be aware that audio and video files will take longer to download.

Q: Do I have to download and install RealOne Player?

A: With our system, you are required to install Real Player to listen to the streaming audio. The Audio Coaching Material also contain links to WMA and MP3 that can be used in a variety of media players. If you are having still having trouble with the real streaming content, please go to the RealOne website and download the latest free player.
