Entrance Exams

Content Exams

The Comprehensive Achievement Profiles (CAP) are nationally standardized exams that measure a student’s comprehension in Nursing Process, Client Needs, Critical Thinking and Content Topics. The CAPs test knowledge of basic concepts for each of the core nursing courses. Scores are nationally-normed. Exams are formulated using the most widely used textbooks and follow the NCLEX® blueprint. Remediation is customized and included as part of the diagnostic report giving the student immediate resources for areas of concern.

Exit Exams

The predictive Exit Exams are nationally standardized tests that measure a student’s overall comprehension in Nursing Process, Client Needs, Critical Thinking and Content Topics. Student knowledge is tested on a comprehensive level and scores are compared against national norms. Exams are formulated using the most widely used textbooks and follow the NCLEX® blueprint. Remediation is customized and included as part of the diagnostic report giving the student immediate resources for areas of concern. Please ask your Educational Consultant for the most recent predictability studies on first-time NCLEX® pass rate. The RN and PN Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) offers students an NCLEX® simulation. The CAT is designed to increase student confidence prior to taking the licensure exam. The CAT is not intended to be a predictor, but rather a mock examination. This assessment is delivered via computer software placed on campus. Multiple attempts are allowed and rationales are provided for the areas of weakness.
